World e-ID 2006

is part of the Smart Event'06 which encompasses 4 international meetings:

- World e-ID, 3rd edition, conference devoted to the emerging deployment of trusted electronic identities and seamless access to e-services (Sept. 20-22)

e-Smart, 7th edition, the leading managerial and strategic smart card industry conference (Sept. 20-22)

- Ambient Intelligence Developments, 1st edition, conference dedicated to Ambient Intelligence (Sept. 20-22)

- Smart University, 2nd edition, educational program in Smart Card and ID, designed and delivered by high level academics (Sept. 19-20)

More than 550 high level professionals involved in smart cards and ID are expected in Sophia Antipolis from September 19 up to September 22, 2006. This new edition of "World e-ID" is an ideal opportunity to share visions, see new perspectives and opportunities and to develop and extend professional peer to peer contacts and networks.

The "World e-ID" Scientific Committee is therefore inviting proposals for presentations from e-ID strategy planners, system developers, implementers, managers and industry leaders, e-service providers and others with extensive relevant experiences and insight in one of more of the following topic areas.

Instructions for authors

The submitted presentation(s), incorporating a clear and precise title should be between 300-500 words and limited to an A4 page format. It should include the name, function, address, phone, e-mail, and affiliation of all the author(s) of the presentation together with a short description of the author(s) 'expertise. In case of multiple authors, only 1 person is allowed to present. The name of the speaking person should be mentioned.

Submitted papers should be original ones, not previously published elsewhere, publicly presented or submitted in parallel to any other event. They should be informative, impartial.
The Scientific Committee will review all submissions but will reject any commercial oriented ones.

Deadline for abstract submission is:
March 10th, 2006


Decisions and Presentation

Notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent to authors on April 28th, 2006.

Authors of accepted papers commit themselves to address the comments from the Scientific Committee and to present their paper at the conference. In case of personal impediment, a substitute speaker should be appointed.

Conference Proceedings will be published and will be available at the conference. Clear instructions about the preparation of a final proceedings version will be sent to the authors of accepted papers.

Additional Information

The organizers commit themselves not to diffuse the presentations before the conference.

The organizers will ask the speaking person for a moderate contribution to costs of 150€ (1 day) or 300€ (full event). Speaker's travel and accommodation expenses are not covered by the organizers. Non speaking authors will also benefit from preferential registration rates.
