World e-ID '05
The "World e-ID" conference, organized
by the main pan-european e-government association
"eForum" (+ Strategies Telecoms
& Multimedia) and endorsed by representative
organizations and consortiums (such as Smart
Card Forum of China, Smart Card Alliance (USA),
Eurosmart, GlobalPlatform, Java Card Forum,
New Media Development Associations ...), is
devoted to the emerging deployment of trusted
electronic identities and seamless access
to e-services. This 2nd edition of the "World
e-ID" Conference (previously named "eGovernment
& SmartCard International Meeting"),
took place in Sophia Antipolis on September
21-23, 2005.

This contest, organized by Axalto, together
with STMicroelectronics and Sun Microsystems,
invites professionals or students to develop
new secure e-business solutions or applications
using e-gate smart cards (Axalto USB smart
cards). This third edition of the "Worldwide
USB smart card developer contest" took
place at "JavaOne" show, San Francisco,
on June 2005.
