Bruno Rouchouze, mathematics
applied and computer engineer,
obtained a thesis in image
processing at CNRS in 1995.
He integrated the Gemalto
Group in 1997.
Since 1998, he managed the
Information Security Group
whose principal missions
were: infrastructure security
in prudent product engineering,
threat analyses and flaw
identification, and FIPS
& Common Criteria evaluations.
Bruno's group was also in
charge of corporate Java
Card & J2ME security
researches & developments,
and had consulting missions
about security (MIPD1&2,
JSR177, obfuscator, etc.).
Concerning certifications
based on Common Criteria,
his group obtained a first
Common Criteria Evaluation
in the world for EA1+ &
EAL5+ for Java Card, EAL4
for native OS, and EAL4
augmented with AVA_VLA.4
for a smart card. He became
the Deputy Director for
the Applied Research and
Security Center at the end
of 2004. He was also Chairman
of the Eurosmart Security
Working Group and convenor
of International Smart card
Certification Initiatives
(ISCI) for five years.
At the beginning of this
year, Bruno integrated the
ID Department as senior
expert, and manages all
standard activities connected
with ID. He develops also
the Gemalto' group strategy
for ID topics. He interfaces
with all standard groups
such as ISO CEN of AFNOR
for that, and participates
to Eurosmart marketing WG
as security expert.

Tom Verrept is strategic
marketing manager in the
smart card division of STMicroelectronics.
He obtained a Masters Degree
in Electronic Engineering
at the University of Leuven,
Belgium in 1996 where he
evaluated the security of
the first Belgian e-purse
scheme for his thesis. He
was hired as cryptography
& security engineer
by BANKSYS, the Belgian
EFT provider. Tom became
technical consultant and
project manager within PROTON
WORLD, a spin-off from Banksys
in 1998. Within Proton world,
Tom was consecutively sales
manager in the San Francisco
sales office of ERG Group,
product manager for Smart
Card Management Systems
(SCMS) and application development
tools (SDK). When STMicroelectronics
acquired Proton World in
2003, Tom managed the products
& marketing team in
charge of Proton activities.
Since 2005 Tom has been
