GlobalPlatform's technical
educational module aims to provide an understanding on
why GlobalPlatform is the solution to the business and
technical problems associated with the lack of a standardized
smart card infrastructure.
It will explain the functional and technical value that
each of the three technology components (card, device,
and system) bring to the market place, why a standardized
smart card infrastructure is essential for various stakeholders,
and what its applications are in the real world smart
card environment for several industries including financial,
government, and mobile telecom.
