Smart card industry faces
news challenges and opportunities. Hardware platform growths
in term of computation power 32 bits Risc microprocessor
with enhanced features like accelerator. On the same trends
memory with flash or alternative technology, introduces
large (huge) memory for smart card and will required a
"re-think" of application architecture and business
model.
A new high speed protocol and new OS paradigm based on
.Net, introduce new application architecture or/and framework.
A long session is dedicated this year to the topic of
card integration in the "network".
This year the module is focused on the hardware platform,
the BC (Byte Code) efficient management, advanced data
management and a focus on .Net platform and its integration
in infrastructure. A well balance between academic with
Inria and one of the oldest "smart card team involved
in the arena" (RD2P), and major companies in the
smart card industry will provide a deep and accurate informative
technical lessons.
