Pervasive
mobility is influencing life in all its facets.
Indeed, people are travelling more (with the need
to stay in touch with family and friends), and
are working in different places (at different
offices, at home, in different countries). Mobility
is a growing reality and the employees become
more and more components of teams working from
multiple locations.
The mobile world is not only a driver for enjoying
freedom of movement but also a driver for improving
quality of life and increasing all types of communications.
Without a doubt, we can see the mobile world also
as a support for special categories of citizens,
such as persons with disabilities, healthcare
professionals, researchers, etc.
Consequently, mobile solutions are becoming a
new type of requirement for the near future. Such
solutions have to take into account user needs
and vary depending on the user context, role,
network access, specific communication device
(including user interface aspect), as well as
user location, type of information and so on.
So, mobility expectations raise high improvement
in the professional and private lives of individuals.
