  Welcome to Smart University 2006

"Smart University" (2nd edition) is an educational program dedicated to advanced technologies of Smart Card, e-ID and AmI. Successfully launched in 2005 "Smart University" relies on a strong academic background provided by its European university partners.
This approach is completed by cases and live testimonials from R&D labs and industry researchers that focus on the newest developments of technologies.

"Smart University" addresses young engineers - researchers as well as executives - willing to widen and deepen the scope of their knowledge on new technological and strategic issues of Smart Cards, e-ID and AmI.

The program consists of 7 tracks of 2 days (except 1) according to a workshop format which enables time for Q&A and for discussions, and a large interactivity between participants, teachers and lecturers. The schedule of these modules allows participants to attend successively 2 modules of their choice.

Most of the tracks are designed and delivered by high level academics and the quality of the program is controlled by program coordinators. The program is endorsed by some of the best European universities, schools, institutes and labs such as CNAM (France), IHP/BTU Joint Lab at the Technical University of Cottbus (Germany), INRIA (France), Institute for Prospective Technological Studies of Seville JRC, European Commission, Interdisciplinary Centre for Law & ICT - Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium)...

For each track participants will receive at the end a diploma signed by the teachers and certifying of their active participation to the course.

The 7 educational modules are as follows:
- Smart card and RFID Security
- Identity Management: users freedom in view of mobility, challenges and opportunities
- Smart Card Software: new platforms & new challenges for smart
embedded software

- Smart Card Standards: GlobalPlatform Technical Education Workshop
- Biometrics: fundamentals and future
- DRM: security and legal aspects of Digital Rights Management
- Ubiquitous Computing: State of the art and challenges for the
software infrastructure
