chairs the Java Card Forum's

speaker at JavaOne, eSmart,
and other technical conferences.
He holds a M.S. from Florida
State University, and a
Ph.D. from the University
of Marseille.

Dr. András Vilmos
has pursued a long carrier
in corporate finance. After
launching his financial
consulting company he was
involved in the development
of mobile payment solutions,
and the introduction of
mobile banking. Presently
as Technical Manager of
StoLPaN, Dr. Vilmos coordinates
the development of an open
platform mobile NFC application
for the support of contactless
services like payment, ticketing
and loyalty programs. Dr.
Vilmos is the author of
a number of publications
on the topic of "e"
and "m" payments.

BERTRAND WENDLING
Engineer, New Technologies,
Nagravision
Bertrand Wendling is,
since 2003, in charge
of the Standards, new
technologies and some
business development related
activities at Nagravision
(Kudelski group). He worked
10 year for Thomson Multimedia
R&D labs on new video
processing technologies
and internal R&D auditing
at corporate level. He
joined Canal+ in 1997
as program manager for
the deployment of the
Canal+ security technology
"Mediaguard"
and middleware technology
"Mediahighway"
outside the Canal+ group.
He joined the Scientific
department in charge of
standards and new technologies
when moved to Canal+ Technologies
in 2000. He has an engineer
degree from the "Ecole
Supérieure d'Electricité"
(SUPELEC) in networking
technologies and also
an engineer degree from
the "Ecole National
Supérieure D'Arts
et Métiers"
(ENSAM) in energetics.

David Wright is Managing
Partner of Trilateral Research
& Consulting LLP, based
in London, which specialises
in ambient intelligence,
risk communication and security
policy issues. He initiated
the consortia and wrote
much of the proposals for
two successful projects
under the EC's Sixth Framework
Programme, namely SWAMI
(Safeguards in a World of
Ambient Intelligence) and
STARC (Stakeholders and
Risk Communication). Prior
to those projects, he researched
and wrote reports on organisational
scenarios and the civil
protection sector under
the EC's GMES programme
and on public-private partnerships
and dual-use technologies
under the Galileo satnav
programme.
