1. Definition and Positioning

"e-Smart", which takes place every year in the second half of September on the French Riviera, has become after 5 years the world most important scientific and strategic inter-professional meeting for Smart Card and e-ID.
It is not a commercial show but an intellectual event, complementary to the "Cartes" exhibition in Paris.

Today, the event gathers for 4 days (Sept 20-23, 2005) 3 parallel meetings:
- "e-Smart" - international conference
- "World e-ID" - international conference
- "Smart University" - educational program.

Over 400 attendees* coming from more than 35 countries take this opportunity to imagine, review and discuss "the future of Smart Card and e-ID".

2. Quality and influence

"e-Smart" high quality of content comes from its highly selective process (Calls for Papers) established by 2 Scientific Committees, each gathering 15 outstanding scientific experts and academics stemming from worldwide R&D and industry.The "Smart University" programis itself coordinated by Prof. Pierre paradinas CNAM and endorsed by some of the best european Universities for SC and e-ID and such as: CNAM, University of Louvain, University of Malaga, University of Milan, University of Hanover, University of Nimègue …

The quality of its audience results in the first place from the quality of contents, but is also supported by its convivial venue and environment that facilitate a total immersion of the major industry and institutional players actively involved at all levels of the preparation and progress.
The event's life is stimulated by common meals, breaks and social events, as well as various private meetings, prototypes demos, proprietary worshops and presentations…

More than 12 international institutions from Europe, Asia and America (trade associations, technology consortia, standardization institutions, R&D labs, Universities,…) as well as 6 European universities (see above) endorse the event.

The preparation of "e-Smart" covers more than 9 months, involves many of the individual actors and reaches several professional communities (SC, e-ID, e-Government, e-transactions, Mobile telecoms…)
Access (paying) to the event is ensured and managed by a trusted e-commerce platform.

The event is promoted by an extensive marketing and communication campaign:

- main trade publications (15), and 2 important daily business newspapers: "la Tribune" and "The Financial Times".

 Media Sponsorship addresses most of the potential audience by including the logo the sponsors in all the media editorial and advertising:

Sponsoring the lunch receptions is a unique opportunity to give prominent recognition to your company. The reception strengthens the presence of your company during the event.
