8 February 2008 - News
BeCrypt, supplier of data protection and encryption products, has launched the latest version of Trusted Client, v2.0, a secure configurable operating system that fits on a USB flash drive.
The system allows a trusted environment on an untrusted host and is used for thin-client applications, web or email access or for stand-alone applications. All information on the USB stick is encrypted to ensure confidentiality and integrity of data. The new version, 2.0, has been developed to be more easily configured by systems integrators, consultancies and specialist suppliers to meet customer needs, and includes improved support for wired and wireless networks, email and office productivity software. The OS has been designed with a modular approach to enable third party components to be built in. It can support a variety of Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) including Juniper and AEP, as well as Network Access Control (NAC) components. Management technology is provided to support deployment and revocation events.
