Launching of the new contest SIMagine
For its 11th edition, SIMagine, the worldwide developer contest of the best innovative SIM based applications, takes a new dimension.
Smart Event maintains focus on Innovation
The economic crisis will not have affected the spirit of innovation which blows on Smart Event, " The Innovation Forum for Mobility and Trusted Technologies and Services ", which took place on Sept.22- 25 in Sophia Antipolis French Riviera. With 3 parallel conferences, 9 modules of training and several parallel workshops and SIG meeting, the event gathered 600 professionals of the smart card, digital security, mobile trusted applications and electronic identity sectors.
Among the highlights of this 10th edition, the Grand Opening session welcomed Jacques Bus. The Head of Unit Trust & Security in ICT Research at the European Commission presented his vision " Trust in digital life ", to bring an answer suited to the increasing fears that arouse the cybercrime, the risks of impersonation, frauds on the bank cards and the other breaches of the systems of data. Among the numerous presented and discussed technological headways: the NFC, the mobile payment and the electronic identity were in the spotlight.
Smart University
Structured around two-day training modules, Smart University is an advanced educational programme dedicated to smart devices, digital security, contactless technologies, identity management, trusted mobile applications.

Smart University higlh level trainings program has been deeply enriched in terms of contents and locations.
Smart University designs and delivers high level training modules dedicated to latest advances in ICT technologies that will drive future growth and innovation of enterprises and organizations.
The 2010 program has been deeply enriched, featuring 18 one or two-day modules. It covers a wide range of ICT topics, from hardware to software hottest issues, with a focus on security aspects: Smart Technologies & Devices (smart cards, NFC, MtoM, RFID, Internet of things...), Mobility And Wireless (m-payment, mobile security, LTE, Femtocells....), Digital Identity Management, Software Engineering (security engineering, SOA, Certification).
